![]() this (afaik) means that older installation tutorials won't work any more. the client tries to update, but after that it says that one would need to be online to login to Origin for the first time. same deal for trying to launch it offline. #SIMS 4 ON STEAM FOR MAC INSTALL#before this started, it would install fine and only crash at the end, something that was easily solved after a reboot. then logging in was possible, enabling users to successfully redownload their owned games. Now, since Origin won't install at all, i don't have a path file to it. This means i can't access my serial number, which Steam requires to install unlisted games. the properties at Origin website won't load and my EA account history only shows my receipt number from when i bought my game. so unless i'm missing something, since it's not in my library/games list i can't follow your guide and add it that way. Of course, the bottom line is, that Linux-based OSs are not supported. WINE/PoL made it possible to bypass these limitations and let us play our games. (edit: trying to get Origin to work again under an older WINE version. just so i can attempt to follow (with a few path changes, of course) the steps you listed, i also own the digital deluxe version.Okay, this is just ridiculous and makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. I mainly play on PC, but I recently bought a Mac to start learning iOS development for school. I recognized that The Sims is a pretty big franchise on Mac, especially on The Sims 4. ![]()
